Role Purpose:
The role of Cleaner is to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties for both residential and commercial clients. Reporting to the Team Leader, the cleaner will be in charge of maintaining all public and private spaces to exacting standards required by Kristine Klean. Duties will include (but not be limited to) vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and bathroom services, along with strong client relationship and communication skills. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities & Duties
1. Pre-Cleaning Procedure
- Check WhatsApp regarding any changes to roster and advise Team Leader of any issues day before
- Ensure Customers’ Worksheet is read and understood prior to commencing the clean
- Ensure all cleaning services are provided in line with Company Policy & Procedure
2. Handling of chemicals and materials
- Handle chemicals and materials in line with Workplace Health & Safety and other company policy and procedure
- Advise Team Leader of any issues with cleaning chemicals or materials
3. Use of cleaning equipment
- Utilise cleaning equipment in line with Workplace Health & Safety and other company policy and procedure
- Advise Team Leader of any fault or maintenance issue with cleaning equipment
4. General cleaning of homes and commercial premises
- Cleaning and maintaining a tidy house with the use of various chemicals, disinfectants, and machines
- Replenishing amenities that are needed in rooms as required
- Ensuring that rooms are cleaned to a very high standard in compliance with operational policies and standards
- Scrubbing and sanitizing bathrooms, toilets, showers, and sinks.
- Scrubbing and sanitizing all kitchen fixtures and appliances.
- Dusting ceilings, light fixtures, picture frames, tables, and chairs.
- Spot cleaning doors and frames.
- Vacuuming and mopping all types of flooring.
- Performing interior window cleanings.
- Vacuuming upholstery.
- Cleaning dishes and carefully arranging them in their appropriate position
5. Home presentation
- Ensure house is presented per client requirements
- Plumping pillows and cushions, and arranging throws neatly
6. Securing premises
- Ensure premises are secured and closed down – including switching off lighting – prior to departure.
7. Client Communication and Team Communication and Relationships
- Communicating and maintaining a healthy relationship with clients in order to provide excellent service
- Informing Team Leader of any accidents that may occur during the course of cleaning.
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or defective equipment to Team Leader
- Tick off individual task checklist as required for Team Leader to sign off.
- Work as part of a small team which may change daily due to client and business requirements
8. Other

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Attitude Required
1. Demonstrated to read, speak and understand English at a basic level
2. Proven experience house cleaning (desirable)
3. Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques (desirable)
4. The ability to follow instructions.
5. Physical dexterity: Must be agile and in good physical shape;, stand for more than one hour, and bend at the waist and knees and kneel. The job entails constant walking, occasional sitting, and climbing stairs; and lifting and carrying materials
6. The ability to adapt to changing schedules.
7. Excellent customer service skills.

Demonstrated English language verbal communication skills and ability to read English to a basic to intermediate level. Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
4. Physical dexterity
Must be agile and in good physical shape; stand for more than one hour, and bend at the waist and knees and kneel. The job entails constant walking, occasional sitting, and climbing stairs; and lifting and carrying materials
5. Knowledge of use of cleaning supplies and equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Ability to read directions as required.

Able to arrive at work and on the job on time and get the job done in the required timeframe.
